Coordinating Council Update

On May 3, we held our first Coordinating Council meeting for the 2025–2026 year. We met in person at Luther Rice Baptist Church, with a few members joining online.

During the meeting, we elected officers:

• Doug Shenton, pastor of Faith Fellowship in York, PA, will serve another year as our Moderator.

• Joby Tricquet, pastor of Fairfax Baptist Church, will also serve another year as our Moderator-Elect.

• Vincent Lui was elected to serve as our Recording Secretary. He is a member of University Baptist Church in Baltimore.

• Leika Inniss was confirmed to continue as Treasurer, a role she has served in for several years.

The council offered positive and helpful feedback about our 2025 Annual Meeting and began planning for the 2026 meeting. The main focus of our time together was strategic planning—envisioning what we aspire our fellowship to become. We are working on a list of aspirations that we are not quite ready to share, but the council is thinking ahead, looking to the future, and working on ways to move our organization forward.

We take seriously our mission to serve Baptist churches and Christians as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission. The future of our fellowship is brimming with possibility.
