In addition to his 14 years as pastor of First Baptist Church of Herndon, Sean was pastor of Chadbourn Baptist Church in Chadbourn, North Carolina for six years and served as an associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC for five years. Before that, he was youth minister at Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond and at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Mars Hill, NC.

Even as a young teenager, Sean felt God’s call to ministry. He especially recalls a mission trip to inner-city Chicago with his NC church youth group that brought together Southern white teenagers and an urban community. Sean sensed God’s power at work as he witnessed a church made up of diverse people from different races, ethnic groups and backgrounds bring hope and healing to its community. Sean works to live into a calling of hope and healing for a diverse world.
