Mid-Atlantic CBF is proud to announce that five grants have been awarded so far this year. These investments in our community are made possible through our Revitalization Fund (four grants) and the Bill George and Patricia Bolinger Mission Fund (one grant).

Impact Spotlight: Revitalization in Action

During the March and April Coordinating Council meetings, we were thrilled to award revitalization grants to four congregations dedicated to refreshing their ministry environments:

  • Kensington Baptist Church: Transforming their lobby into a warm "welcome space" with fresh paint and updated digital displays.

  • Village Baptist Church: Converting an underutilized parlor into a "Faith and Family Room"—a vibrant, intergenerational library and formation space.

  • Luther Rice Baptist Church: Transforming an existing room into a dedicated Third Space Hub. This will serve as the physical home for their "Welcome Home Young Adult Third Space Initiative," which they are actively building toward launching later in 2026.

  • McLean Baptist Church: Redesigning and revitalizing their digital presence. These funds will update their website and online infrastructure to better serve members, the local community, and potential new members.

The Bill George and Patricia Bolinger Mission Fund

In addition to our revitalization efforts, the Coordinating Council awarded a Mission grant to Ox Hill Baptist Church to support their Himalayan Free Clinic.

The clinic opens on the first Saturday of every month, providing essential healthcare to those without insurance while maintaining the grace and dignity of every patient. Ox Hill will use these funds to purchase a vital signs stand to measure blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.

The Bill George and Patricia Bolinger Mission Fund provides small grants to churches seeking to engage in new mission endeavors. Inaugurated in 2017, the fund is named in honor of two long-serving members of the MACBF Coordinating Council. It is intended to further the call of individual churches as they seek to be the presence of Christ in their communities and beyond.

Walking in Faith Together

Mid-Atlantic CBF is excited to share resources that aid congregations in the creative work you are doing to spread the good news of the Gospel and promote hope and healing in our communities.

It is wonderful news that we have awarded five total grants to five different congregations in the first few months of 2026. This shows that our churches are developing fresh, creative ways to minister across the Mid-Atlantic. We are honored to walk with these congregations and offer our prayers as they continue their good and faithful work.
