On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the congregation of Broadneck Baptist Church in Annapolis, Maryland, enthusiastically and by consensus called the Reverend Brooke Holloway Blake to be its next pastor. A native of Texas, Brooke received her MDiv from Baylor University's George W. Truett Seminary. She served as an associate pastor in Arlington, VA, for 13 years and currently serves as a Fellow with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) Advocacy, working with CBF churches on efforts to get out the vote through a non-partisan "Love Your Neighbor to the Voting Booth" initiative. Brooke lives outside of DC in Maryland with her husband, Jason, and their four-year-old son. Brooke has wide-ranging experience from associate pastor to preaching, missions, and youth and community outreach. She has also been involved in media within churches and is a budding photography entrepreneur.

One of Pastor Brooke’s skills is building relationships, which is an ideal match for the

44-year-old church whose outreach extends through community events such as The

Strawberry Festival, Halloween Open House, and cocoa at the Cape Christmas Tree

Lighting. Broadneck Baptist also sponsors summer Music &  Arts Camp for children and partners with advocacy programs such as Winter Relief, My Brothers Pantry and Anne Arundel Connecting Together (ACT). Pastor Brooke’s first Sunday at Broadneck will be the 10 a.m worship service on Sunday, August 23, at 1257 Hilltop Drive in Annapolis. Immediately following the service, there will be a reception to celebrate this new

beginning.
